​​Every winter the snow and harsh weather take their toll on the area barns. This barn, located in Thorp, has such character. When spring came I was so glad that it was still standing. (It is no longer standing. It completely collapsed the year after I painted this.)

This painting was modeled from an old mechanic’s building on Water Street in Ellensburg, WA. The window reflected a home across the street so I added a bird’s “home”.

This is a favorite landmark for people in Ellensburg. D & M Coffee is no longer located at this old gas station. It has moved a few blocks away and its  faithful customers still enjoy their coffee.
